Hearing: Small Businesses at the Forefront of the Green Revolution: What More Needs to Be Done to Keep Them Here?

WASHINGTON—The House Committee on Small Business will hold a hearing to examine the role of small firms in developing, implementing and designing environmentally-friendly "green" technologies and infrastructure as well as how governments are working to encourage these efforts.

The committee will hear testimony from leaders in the growing phenomenon of green buildings and a green economy, including the Mayors of Washington, D.C., Austin, T X and Santa Barbara, CA. Panelists will also discuss some of the innovative ways that small businesses are helping reduce energy consumption and contain costs through cutting edge technologies.
