National Environmental Lifestyle Expert Danny Seo to Host Neighborhood Beautification Day at the Grand Opening of Bank of America's First "Green Roof" Banking Center in Chicago
WHAT:
Bank of America will celebrate the grand opening of the first "green roof" Banking Center in Chicago by hosting an environmental awareness and neighborhood beautification day for the Logan Square and Avondale community. The event will be hosted by national environmental lifestyle expert Danny Seo. During the event, students from Avondale Elementary School will participate in an innovative beautification project lead by Archi-treasures, a group that seeks to raise community involvement in the urban landscape. Bank of America will present a $25,000 grant to Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA) to support increased availability and improvement of parks and open space in Logan Square.
In early March, Bank of America announced a $20 billion initiative to support the growth of environmentally sustainable business activity to address global climate change. Bank of America's 10-year initiative encourages development of environmentally sustainable business practices through lending, investing, philanthropy and the creation of new products and services.

The Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA), founded in 1962, is a nonprofit, multi-issue, grassroots community organization serving the multi-ethnic communities of Logan Square and the Avondale/Lathrop/Hamlin area. Its mission is to unite institutions and residents to build and protect an excellent place to live, work, play, raise children, run a business and worship.
Archi-Treasures raises community involvement in the urban landscape. By partnering architects, artists, educators, and urban activists with community groups, schools, and neighborhood organizations, archi-treasures facilitates creative solutions through participatory design.
